Therefore, an Angelic hand supports the Pentacle symbol of earth and the ascended man (pentacle). In the background a rose covered arbor is displayed. The Rose is the symbol of the female aspect of fertile energy and the arbor is a symbol for the Womb that is penetrated by the phallic path or the Masculine aspect of the Divine Creative. The Lilies in the foreground also represent the Female Divine Creative and the fecund power of renewal, resurrection, and growth. All this hints at the power that begins creation. Hence, the fruitful garden on this card.

Yes, it may shock you, but meta-physicists, Gnostics, practitioners of Western Hermetic Magic, and most "pagan" religions, always knew that Earth is a Sentient being. Truth, being she has visited me many times; not as a bush, or weed, or animal, but as a female in the shape of the Homo Sapiens-Sapiens, as that body also belongs to her. I met her on top of the mountains, where only I was sitting. She would show up out of "nowhere" and sit down next to me and greeted me as "husband" and then offer something strange sustenance to me such as "dried seaweed", for she is always of a nurturing nature. Being knowledgeable, I would accept her offer, even if I had to "choke it down". We would then engage in a conversation, the like of which only good friends can. After such meetings, I would feel refreshed, happy, and full of life. The lovely mossy, earthly smell of her would stay with me for days. Earth loves us; the "nasty" children that despoil her. That alone teaches me a lot. I suppose that ranks me right up there with her Animus, Pan...Well I kind of am an "old goat."
