The Manara Erotic Tarot- 5 of Fire.

Opposing energy causes agitation.

Rider-Waite- Smith- Five of Wands

The RWS- 5 of Wands displays 5 combatants. This whole RWS card bespeaks fire, which is the aggressive element that is in and motivates "all things". This is a card of assertiveness, combativeness, and action--good or bad. This card may mean great personal courage as our "first responders" risk their life to save someone else's or putting one's reputation on the line for something in which they believe. Therefore, it can mean popularity and success through one's own decisive actions. At best this is a card of candor, and of a clearly and emphatically expressed decision. This is a card of Willfulness, so there is also impulsive action, which can bring on more trouble than it's worth. Hence, at its very worst, this card represents tyrannical, warring behavior or an aggressive attack being perpetrated on the querent. Five is also the number that represents Homo sapiens.

The 5 Star of Humanity

The Rider-Waite- Smith, Five of Wands, displays the activities of 5 youth, assaulting each other with fertile wands, mimicking war, or strife as a pentacle of wands is shown torn apart. On Traditional Tarot cards, each youth is shown dressed in assorted colors or styles, implying the chaos of different egos trying to prove they are right by using force. Here, it is also implied that the journey towards mastery, is strife filled. For to master any activity, including love or war, requires intensive training, focus diligence and determination; qualities that many who seek comfort, shy away from as "effort". Mastery of any art requires passion, devotion, and an uncompromising attitude.

The Minara Erotic Tarot-5 of Fire.

Strife filled Ecstasy.

The Erotic Tarot- 5 of Fire shows an erotic scene of abandonment to sexual ferocity, such as one would see happening to a rock star that got attacked by groupies. Here fantasy became a conflagration of rash actions, that are being expressed as sexual obsession. Such is the course of the Burning life force of this Universe. When one taps into the Primeval Fire, and/or The Ruby Ray, the Sexual Union is stimulated beyond most people's ability to control. It is the most powerful force of "I Will Be", in the Universe and is often called in Hermetic circles, as the Strife filled Ecstasy. That is why the Tantric train so hard in focusing on and controlling this force for all Powerful Magic comes in a fiery package, wrapped in Kundalini. "God is Sex", is a tough one for most indoctrinated people to understand. Spirit is the Fiery Power of Breath, the Prana and/or Vital Vigorous Life Force that is expressed in sexual communion.

In the Western Hermetic Mage of the Thoth Tarot 5 of Wands this card is named STRIFE and its corresponding card in the Italian Artist, Milo Manara's deck is called, 5 of Fire, which, if you ask me, is well shown in this card, as consolation and focus is required in this scene of frantic and volcanic activity.

Milo Manara assigned the meaning of preparation, training, and simulation to this card.

He also assigned the planet Saturn to the house of Leo- that he says:

  •  Represents the need to focus and consolidate in an artistic manner.

Here is a scene of three that could be called the Chakra Puja or Pancharmakara, or the Choli Marg Tantric rituals. You can look these rituals up in the Book: THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF EROTIC WISDOM by the author, Rufus C. Camphausen.

Three wands of the Golden Dawn.

The objective of Tantric and Taoist sexual practices is to harmonize, balance, exchange and utilize the life energies (Vital Fire) set free during erotic play and sexual union. The Sexual Self is Spirit---it is the Adorable Fire of Life. In the instance of the 5 of Fires, the male electric-Fire is being heavily invoked by the Female Magnetic Water. Achieving an Electromagnetic surge which causes a great deal of physical strife and re-balancing, that in the end, causes a great deal of bliss and a higher vibratory nature of the body’s vital energy which is known as the Adorable Fire. To the well-studied student of Qabalah, this is the fire of the "Masters Wand" that represents the Masters Body. This is the Adorable Fire of Tantric, Gnostic, and Magick ritual…. often called the Strife filled Ecstasy, which is always invoked by the communion of male electric and female magnetic. Hence, the Golden Dawn three wands, the lotus wand of the neophyte and/or The Adeptus Minor of Tiphareth, the Phoenix wand of the of the Adeptus Major of Geburah, crossing the Central Wand of the Chief Adept. All Wands are obviously phallic, so male expression into female reception, is the foundation of the magic we call "Life".

.

When the 5 or Five of Wands or 5 of Fire card is thrown during a reading it implies:

  • There is a 5 day, 5-week or 5-month period in the querent's life consisting of quarreling, fighting, and violent strife or contest.
  • Because of this volcanic energy, there is also boldness, rashness, and a certain amount of cruelty.
  • Lust, desire, prodigality, and generosity are also possible.
  • In such a fiery card, more so than many others, it really depends on which position the card is sitting and whether it is ill or well dignified.

If ill dignified by surrounding cards or reversed, it implies:

  • There is soon to be, or is now being, quarreling, argument, and fighting in their immediate environment, which is deeply passionate and usually means in a relationship, be it family, or lover.
  • Recklessness.
  • Rash actions.
  • If the 5 of Wands lands in the position of "finds you" (Celtic Cross) and/or the significator position, it usually means that the querent is in internal Strife over a situation and is unable to decide. Where the cards fall, tells all!
