The Rider-Waite-Smith Knight of Swords card is esoterically unremarkable. The trees in the wind, suggests that he charges forth "tilting at windmills" and/or only in his turbulent mind, do his enemies exist.

Air is the element of swords, and the knights of traditional tarot, are the Princes of Thoth Tarot. The ability to give birth to life, and the fact that feminine wealth is Life itself, has made the Patriarch jealous for eons.
