Radiant: Rider-Waite-Smith- Six of Pentacles

The Rider-Waite Six of Pentacles concentrates on the principle of sure success in all business matters. There are not a lot of esoteric concepts to explain in this exoteric card's illustration. We have a merchant, with his balance scales, counting out coins to supplicating grateful recipients. This action implies that one balances one's wealth by sharing it; that "sharing the wealth" is called "prosperity". Above the scene, are the six pentacles, as six stars above. In Tarot Divination the sixes imply definite accomplishment and the carrying out of a matter.

However, 6 is not only several accomplishments but also that of Christ- Buddha consciousness which in Qabalah is the Sixth Sephira-Tiphareth and which Waite knew as a Western Hermetic Qaballist, Tiphareth is named Beauty for it is the central Sun of the Tree of Life, where all paths join or radiate from. It is synchronicity of collective creations called the Soul... 6 is also the number of electrons in the phenomenally successful carbon atom.

Therefore, the 6's are of the Soul, being the highest state of consciousness that a personality can reach; However, a certain sacrifice is made as the 6 is also the number of the Dying Gods, implying a definite personality initiation of deconstruction for reconstruction that eventually brings success. However, this is only important knowledge to the student of higher mind. In a more prosaic light, success in all matters of business also requires a certain sacrifice and reorganization of skills.

The Prophet Tarot- Six of Pentacles

The Prophet Tarot-6 of Pentacles takes the original RWS card and makes it silver and black. Hence, the same card and meaning as the RWS card but more gothic. However, the illustration still implies the gain of wealth and power through challenging work. Therefore, this card stands for unswerving self-discipline, for long challenging work that yields impressive results, often against very substantial odds, and the very "naysayers" who insist it can't be done. Although this road to wealth can be very solitary and requires great patience and perseverance, a person is driven towards one ambitious goal and has the strength of character to never move from the course toward that goal. As in all worthy accomplishments, there are usually some dark periods of depression and uncertainty before the goal is attained, but self-assurance and other aggressive personality qualities guarantee eventual success.

In all cases of success, communication is important so here we have an extrovert who reaches out towards others easily while sharing her wealth. Time is money; therefore, a well-organized procedure is followed. Although this work ethic can often inspire others by example, many often would rather criticize than put out any effort. To these people, the successful one is accused of being "cold and humorless"; an overly strict one who is "all work and no play". However, this Tarot Card shows a time to share, and play is also part of wealth.
